Carlo Ancelotti 'to fly in for Everton talks'

Carlo Ancelotti will reportedly arrive in London over the next 24 hours to hold managerial talks with Everton.

Carlo Ancelotti will reportedly arrive in London over the next 24 hours before holding face-to-face talks with Everton over the possibility of becoming the club's new head coach.

Duncan Ferguson is currently in charge of first-team affairs at Goodison Park with the Scot taking the position previously held by Marco Silva, who was sacked following a disappointing run of results.

Ancelotti, meanwhile, lost his job at Napoli earlier this week, and the Italian has been strongly linked with a return to the Premier League over the last few days.

According to The Sun, the former Chelsea manager will land in London on Friday before holding a meeting with Everton owner Farhad Moshiri and chairman Bill Kenwright.

The report claims that Arsenal are also keen on the 60-year-old, but the Gunners are not currently in a position to hold an official meeting with the experienced manager.

Ancelotti led Napoli into the last-16 stage of the Champions League courtesy of a 4-0 win over Genk earlier this week, but the Italian giants have struggled in Serie A this season, currently sitting down in seventh position.

Everton will attempt to make it successive Premier League wins when they travel to an in-form Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
