Everton defender Phil Jagielka is pleased with side's performance as they come from behind to draw 1-1 at QPR.

Everton defender Phil Jagielka has praised the character that his side showed as they came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw at Queens Park Rangers.

A Julio Cesar own goal made sure that the Toffees left Loftus Road with a point after Junior Hoilett had given the hosts an early lead in what was an eventful 90 minutes in West London.

"It was a good team performance," Jagielka said. "We obviously went down 1-0 down and showed real character to get back in the game, we did well to come away with a point."

Fourth-placed Everton will now turn their attention to next Sunday's Merseyside derby against Liverpool at Goodison Park.
