Louis Saha backs Samuel Eto'o to mentor Romelu Lukaku

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku will benefit from playing alongside veteran striker Samuel Eto'o, according to former Toffee Louis Saha.

Former Everton marksman Louis Saha has backed veteran striker Samuel Eto'o to pass on his goalscoring wisdom to Romelu Lukaku at Goodison Park.

Lukaku, 21, will partner 33-year-old Eto'o in the Toffees' attack this season, and Saha believes that the young Belgian can learn a lot from his Cameroonian counterpart.

"Romelu Lukaku is a great player," the Frenchman is quoted as saying by RTBF. "He is young and strong and is eager to become one of the best attackers.

"We will now have to confirm his performances from last season, but he has a very good coach in the form of Samuel Eto'o now.

"The goalscorer from Cameroon will teach him certain things."

Lukaku, a club record £28m signing, is yet to open his account this season, while Eto'o, who signed on a two-year deal as a free agent, netted on his debut in the 6-3 defeat to Chelsea last month.
