Everton make duo available for loan?

Irish pair Darron Gibson and Aiden McGeady will reportedly be granted permission to leave Everton on loan before the end of the transfer window.

Everton have reportedly decided to send Darron Gibson and Aiden McGeady out on loan this month.

The Republic of Ireland duo have been on the periphery of Roberto Martinez's squad so far this season, having featured just six times between them.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the pair are both keen to make temporary moves away from Goodison Park in order to secure their places in the Ireland squad for the summer's European Championships in France.

The report adds that Martinez is sympathetic towards their situation and he will not stand in their way should a suitor come forward.

Winger McGeady has recently been linked with his former club Celtic, while Aston Villa and Sunderland are said to be keen on former Manchester United midfielder Gibson.
