Manchester United begin the defence of their Premier League title with a trip to Swansea City as the 2013-14 fixtures are announced.

Premier League champions Manchester United will begin the defence of their title with a trip to Swansea City under new manager David Moyes on August 17.

The fixtures for the 2013-14 campaign in the top flight have been released, with Moyes and Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho going head-to-head in a blockbuster clash on August 24 at Old Trafford.

Before that, the Blues, who will be led by Mourinho for the second time at the start of the season, will have an opening clash at Stamford Bridge against newly-promoted side Hull City.

New Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini will begin life in England with a home match against Newcastle United, while Arsenal start their season at the Emirates Stadium against Aston Villa.

Brendan Rodgers's Liverpool will take on Stoke City at home, with a highly anticipated clash against arch rivals United in the third weekend of the league season at Anfield.

City will host United at the Etihad Stadium for the first Manchester derby of the season on the weekend of September 22, while Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will mark the start of the derbies on August 31 at the Emirates.

Cardiff City will start the campaign with an away trip against West Ham United, while Crystal Palace will commence against Tottenham Hotspur.
