France coach Laurent Blanc selects 12 overseas players as part of his preliminary squad for Euro 2012.

France coach Laurent Blanc has named part of his preliminary squad for this summer's European Championships.

So far, Blanc has selected 12 players that do not play in Ligue 1 and are currently based overseas.

Those that are domestic-based are expected to be called up next Tuesday.

France's foreign-based Euro 2012 squad:

Defenders: Gael Clichy (Manchester City), Patrice Evra (Manchester United), Younes Kaboul (Tottenham), Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal), Philippe Mexes (AC Milan), Adil Rami (Valencia)

Midfield: Yohan Cabaye, Hatem Ben Arfa (Newcastle), Florent Malouda (Chelsea), Samir Nasri (Manchester City), Franck Ribery (Bayern Munich)

Strikers: Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)
