Florent Malouda insists that Fernando Torres will be a "true menace" when France meet Spain in Saturday's Euro 2012 quarter-final.

Florent Malouda has warned France that Chelsea teammate Fernando Torres will pose a dangerous threat when they meet Spain in Saturday's Euro 2012 quarter-final.

Despite being left out of Spain's opening match of the tournament, the striker scored two goals for the defending champions in the group stages as they finished ahead of Italy in Group C.

"It will be difficult for us because we will meet again the player who won the previous European Championships and World Cup," Malouda told reporters. "It will be very dangerous for us to face Fernando, just like it was for us up against Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

"Fernando can easily score two or three goals and he is the player who makes great runs for his teammates. He will be a true menace for us and we must do everything to make sure he will not shine."

Spain ran out 2-0 winners when the two teams last met in a friendly fixture in 2010.
