Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney has been forced to pull out of Scotland's upcoming friendlies against Belgium and Albania due to injury.
The 27-year-old suffered a blow to the ankle during his side's 4-2 victory over Burnley last Sunday, ruling him out until after the international break.
Scotland are scheduled to play Belgium on September 7, before welcoming the Albanians to Glasgow on September 10.
Cairney, who captained his side to Premier League promotion via the playoffs last season, will also be unable to feature in Fulham's league fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
The Cottagers also have Tim Ream, Floyd Ayite and Neeskens Kebano on the injury list, but Alfie Mawson returned to action in his side's 2-0 cup victory over Exeter City on Tuesday.
