Jazz Richards reveals Fulham frustration

Fulham full-back Jazz Richards concedes that his side should have 'killed off' Charlton Athletic in their last match, having let slip a two-goal lead late on.

Jazz Richards has admitted that there is still an element of frustration in the Fulham dressing room following a late collapse last time out.

The Cottagers looked good value to pick up all three points against London rivals Charlton Athletic prior to the international break, before two goals in the final nine minutes rescued the Addicks a 2-2 draw.

Ahead of this weekend's return to club action away at league favourites Middlesbrough, Richards acknowledges that the time is now right for Fulham to click into gear in order to climb the Championship table.

"It was definitely frustrating as we looked strong throughout the match," he told the club's official website. "I've said quite a bit about managing the game in areas like that when we are two up. You've got to go and kill the game, or at least not concede.

"I think when they got the first goal they were just on top of us and that's how they were able to get a second. Obviously Boro are one of the favourites in the league and it's away, so it's going to be a tough game but we are more than good enough to go and beat teams like Middlesbrough, and everyone else in the league.

"We're a fairly new group of boys, it's the start of the season and we're learning how to play with each other and how to get that togetherness, which will come soon."

Fulham are currently occupying a place in mid-table, sitting six points off the playoffs and four points above the relegation zone.
