Billy McKinlay is looking forward to reporting to Martin Jol after Fulham's win over Liverpool.

Fulham first-team coach Billy McKinlay said that he cannot wait to catch up with boss Martin Jol after the side's 1-0 win at Liverpool on Tuesday.

Jol has been absent from the team's last two matches now due to a chest infection, and McKinlay is hoping that the Dutchman will be happier than he was after the Cottagers' 4-0 defeat at Everton on Saturday.

"It will be a better conversation than I had with him after the game on Saturday, so I will give him a call soon," McKinlay told Sky Sports News.

"I'm delighted with the result. We started really well, got an early goal and played some good football. Overall, I'm really delighted with the performance.

"Saturday was a difficult result for us. We were unhappy with how we performed so I knew I would get a reaction here."

Fulham are now level on points in the Premier League with Liverpool following the victory at Anfield.
