Fulham winger Bryan Ruiz is expected to be unavailable for the Cottagers' Premier League match against Aston Villa after suffering a thigh injury on international duty with Costa Rica.

Fulham winger Bryan Ruiz is expected to be sidelined for the Cottagers this weekend after picking up a thigh injury.

The 27-year-old was forced back to London from international duty with Costa Rica after suffering the problem during his side's win over El Salvador.

Ruiz is likely to be out of contention for selection by manager Martin Jol for this weekend's Premier League bout against Aston Villa.

Meanwhile, striker Dimitar Berbatov should be available following a hip injury.
