Germany coach Joachim Low has said that he was "happy" with his side's performance during their 3-1 win over Poland in Euro 2016 qualifying Group D.

The 55-year-old praised his team's focus and applauded his players for keeping the opposition's chances to a minimum throughout the showdown in Frankfurt.

"After last year, where we had some not so good games, it was clear that we needed to win this game at home," he told reporters. "We therefore had only one aim - to win the game, that was the most important thing.

"Overall, I am very happy, the team played with great focus. Poland's only chances resulted from our mistakes."

A Thomas Muller strike and Mario Gotze brace was enough to see off the Poles and put the Germans on course for automatic promotion to the finals.
