Germany want Jurgen Klopp as next coach?

Germany reportedly want Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp to take over from Joachim Low as national team coach when his contract expires in 2016.

The German Football Federation are reportedly making moves to secure Jurgen Klopp as the successor to Joachim Low, despite the latter signing a contract extension two weeks ago.

Low extended his deal as Germany coach earlier this month, signing on until 2016 after securing safe passage to next summer's World Cup finals.

Despite that vote of confidence in Low the DFB see Klopp as their next boss and have timed the length of Low's new deal with that in mind, according to the Daily Mail.

They believe that Klopp's current contract at Dortmund expiring at the same time as Low finishes his term with Germany to be no coincidence, as they put plans in place looking beyond the European Championships in 2016.

Low's fresh terms are also thought to include provisions for an early exit based on performance-related targets.

Klopp has already been courted by top clubs across Europe after turning Dortmund into a leading force in the Bundesliga, with a league and cup double followed by last season's run to the Champions League final.
