Jop van der Linden stepped up and fired home from the spot to put the hosts ahead, a lead they would hold come the break.

The hosts continued to press forward following the restart, as Marnix Kolder bore down on goal before shooting just wide.

Ultimately, Den Haag were unable to muster up much of a threat, and so Foeke Booy's charges ended the game with all three points.
