Granada get themselves out of the relegation zone in La Liga thanks to a 0-0 draw with Real Sociedad at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes.

Granada have moved out of the relegation zone in La Liga thanks to a goalless draw with Real Sociedad at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes.

The stalemate has seen Juan Antonio Anquela's side exit the drop zone on goal difference.

The hosts should have taken the lead midway through the first half, but Odion Ighalo somehow fired over from close range following Dani Benitez's cross.

Sociedad came close soon after, only for Diego Ifran to head straight at goalkeeper Roberto Alvarellos.

A dull second half came alive in the final 10 minutes as Asier Illarramendi fired narrowly over for the visitors before Ighalo was denied by Claudio Bravo.
