Hearts boss Robbie Neilson satisfied with derby draw

Hearts boss Robbie Neilson insists that his side deserved their 1-1 draw against local rivals Hibernian.

Hearts manager Robbie Neilson has insisted that he is pleased to have taken a point from Saturday's derby clash with Hibernian.

The Jambos needed a wonder strike from Jamie Walker to avoid defeat, but Neilson is adamant that 1-1 was a fair reflection of the game.

"I thought there were different periods in the game and Hibs were the better team during the first 25 minutes," he told the club's website. "But we were also on top for a while, probably until about the 60th or 70th minute.

"I thought our defence was fantastic. We got a lot of nice blocks in and had a few opportunities to win it, but a point is good for us."

The result moved Hearts 16 points clear of Rangers at the top of the Scottish Championship, but the Gers can claw back the deficit with victory over Dumbarton in their 3pm kickoff.
