Steve Bruce makes one change to his team as Hull City look to improve their hopes of promotion with a victory over Middlesbrough.

Hull City have been forced to replace the injured Jack Hobbs with Corry Evans for the visit of Middlesbrough to the KC Stadium.

Hobbs suffered an ankle injury in the 1-0 loss to Watford on Tuesday, meaning Alex Bruce will play in defence against Tony Mowbray's side.

Stuart Parnaby has failed to prove his fitness in time to be named in the visiting squad but Mustapha Carayol and Jonathan Woodgate do return to the starting lineup.

Hull: Stockdale, Chester, Bruce, Faye, Elmohamady, Brady, Evans, Quinn, Koren, Boyd, Gedo

Middlesbrough: Steele, Hoyte, Leadbitter, Ameobi, Williams, McEachran, Halliday, Carayol, Miller, Haroun, Woodgate
