Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin could be closing in on a new deal with the Serie A club, according to reports in Gazzetta dello Sport on Thursday.
The player himself recently said that he was confident of agreeing terms and despite the strong rumours in January of a move to Juventus the San Siro side appear to have won the battle.
Guarin's agent Marcelo Ferreyra is, according to the report, expected to fly to Italy in the next week to speak to the club's president Erick Thohir about the renewal.
Reports claim that the offer on the table will be a deal until the summer of 2017.
