John Hughes to be named Inverness Caledonian Thistle boss?

Inverness Caledonian Thistle are expected to name John Hughes as their new manager in the next 24 hours.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle will reportedly name John Hughes as their new manager at a press conference on Wednesday morning.

The Scottish Premiership club have been without a boss following Terry Butcher's departure to Hibernian on November 12.

Former Falkirk, Hibs, Livingstone and Hartlepool United manager Hughes is now expected to be unveiled at the Caledonian Stadium in the next 24 hours, according to BBC Sport.

Inverness, who are currently in second place in the table, travel to St Mirren in the league on Saturday.

Hughes, 49, was sacked by Hartlepool at the end of last season after the team's relegation to League Two.
