Two second-half goals from Fabio Quagliarella see Juventus defeat Chievo 2-0 at home in Serie A.

Juventus have maintained their perfect start to the Serie A season with a 2-0 victory over Chievo at home on Saturday.

The Italian champions had the bulk of the chances in the first half, with Fabio Quagliarella and Claudio Marchisio coming close.

Mirko Vucinic had a goal disallowed for offside too in the first 45 minutes, but the Veronese visitors could not stop the Bianconeri in the second half.

Quagliarella broke the deadlock in the 64th minute when he turned home Emanuele Giaccherini's corner from 12 yards with an acrobatic effort.

Four minutes later he made it 2-0 to Juventus, as he received a pass from Kwadwo Asamoah on the edge of the Chievo penalty area and smartly strolled the ball into the net.

The victory sees Juve retain pole position in the league table with 12 points from four matches.
