Juventus 'could be forced to offload Cristiano Ronaldo'

Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly at risk of being offloaded by Juventus in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Juventus could reportedly be forced to sell Cristiano Ronaldo for as little as £60m amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The outbreak of COVID-19 has had unprecedented impacts on sporting events across the globe, and Juventus players have sacrificed their wages in response to the crisis.

However, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner earns a staggering £496,000 a week at the Italian giants, and it has been suggested that Juve may have to part ways with Ronaldo to balance the books.

According to Italian outlet Il Messagero, Maurizio Sarri's side will struggle to sustain Ronaldo's costs with a lack of matchday revenue, and as a result the Serie A champions could be at risk of losing him for a reduced fee.

The report also claims that Ronaldo's £27m-a-year earnings would be a major roadblock in his potential search for a new club, although it has been suggested that Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and former club Manchester United could all be viable destinations.

Ronaldo's current deal with Juve is set to expire in 2022.
