Federico Marchetti consoles himself in the fact that Lazio can still win the Coppa Italia following last night's Europa League exit.

Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti believes that the Biancocelesti deserved more from their Europa League quarter-final second leg against Fenerbahce.

Vladimir Petkovic's men could only draw 1-1 at the Stadio Olimpico last night, which was enough to send the Turkish team through 3-1 on aggregate.

"We played a great game and are disappointed because we deserved better," Marchetti told Mediaset Premium. "It's a real shame, as we were penalised in the first leg.

"This is football, it's a pity and we compliment Fenerbahce for going forward in the competition.

"It's a pity about tonight, because we certainly deserved something more. It is a tough blow, but we are strong and will play to the end with the conviction we'll lift a trophy this season."

Aquile will contest the Coppa Italia final against either Roma or Inter Milan on May 26.
