Lazio have announced that they have terminated the contract of coach Vladamir Petkovic.
The 50-year-old has presided over an indifferent season with the Rome-based outfit in Serie A thus far, with the Biancocelesti sitting 10th in the standings having won just five times all term.
Consequently, the club have confirmed that they have called time on the coach's 18-month spell in the Italian capital, with Edoardo Reja poised to take charge of Lazio in the mean time.
A club statement read: "Lazio announce that they have terminated the employment contract of Vladimir Petkovic, Antonio Mancione and Paolo Rongoni.
"The club announce that they have installed coach Edoardo Reja, who will be assisted by Alberto Bollini and Adriano Bianchini."
In December it emerged that Petkovic would be the next coach of the Switzerland national team after next summer's World Cup in Brazil.
