Thomas Christiansen targets end to Leeds United's losing run

Thomas Christiansen admits that he will remain under pressure until Leeds United end their disappointing run of form, which has seen them lose six of their last seven.

Thomas Christiansen has suggested that he expects to remain in charge of Leeds United until after the international break, despite another disappointing defeat for his side.

The Whites fell to a 3-1 loss away to Brentford on Saturday evening, leaving them with just one win in their last eight outings in all competitions.

Having made a bright start to the campaign under Christiansen, Leeds have now lost six of their last seven in the Championship and continue to slide down the table.

Following United's latest setback, the former APOEL boss concedes that the scrutiny will only continue to grow until his side end their losing run.

"All these situations will be hard, more pressure. If we lose next game then more pressure than today," he told reporters. "This is the business of football. We all know how it is.

"I believe this was a game we should win. It was a very good second half. I believe that the team deserved more but in these situations with bad results, it's difficult. You need more opportunities and you don't have the luck."

Leeds face Middlesbrough at Elland Road immediately after the international break, before travelling to league leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers and Yorkshire rivals Barnsley.
