Neil Redfearn refuses to discuss Leeds United future

Neil Redfearn refuses to confirm if he will remain Leeds United manager following the recent suspension of assistant Steve Thompson.

Leeds United boss Neil Redfearn refused to be drawn on whether he will remain manager of the club after Monday's game with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Whites have endured a difficult week after assistant manager Steve Thompson was removed from his post without any formal explanation from the club hierarchy.

Redfearn was unwilling to discuss his own future, but paid tribute to the fans after Leeds's 3-0 defeat at home to Blackburn Rovers this afternoon.

"The most important thing was for me to concentrate on this game and then Monday's for the sake of the players and supporters," he is quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post as saying.

"The fans were brilliant today, as they have been all season. They appreciate what we have achieved."

When asked about whether he had been isolated by the club after Thompson's removal, Redfearn added: "Whether I think that or not, I definitely have."

Leeds are currently 14th in the Championship table.
