Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri: "Everybody wants to stop Jamie Vardy"

Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri admits that teams will be going all out to stop Jamie Vardy in the Foxes' upcoming Premier League matches.

Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has suggested that his side will aim to ease the goalscoring burden on striker Jamie Vardy in the coming weeks.

Vardy has been in impressive form for the Foxes this season, notching 12 goals for the club, including at least one in each of his last nine Premier League matches.

The 28-year-old can draw level with Ruud van Nistelrooy's Premier League record of scoring in 10 successive matches against Newcastle United on Saturday, but Ranieri has acknowledged that the Magpies will be going all out to stop the England international.

"Everybody wants to stop Jamie Vardy," Ranieri told reporters.

"That's normal. He's our goalscorer. They know that. Maybe we'll try to pass the ball to other players."

Vardy has been struggling with a hip injury, but is expected to lead the line for the Foxes at St James' Park.
