Leicester City defender Danny Simpson has been told that he won't feature for the club in their final game of the Premier League season.
On Wednesday, Simpson was found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend and was informed by a magistrate that he could spend time in prison.
The Foxes complete their campaign with a home fixture against Queens Park Rangers on Sunday, but the club have announced that the full-back has been made unavailable while they "examine current legal proceedings" against him.
A statement read: "Leicester City have today informed Danny Simpson that he will not be considered for first-team duties while the club examines current legal proceedings against him.
"Due to the ongoing nature of the legal process, the club will be making no further comment on this matter at this time."
The 28-year-old has made 18 appearances for the club this season.
