League One side Leyton Orient have announced that Mauro Milanese will become the club's new manager tomorrow.
Milanese, 43, moves from his role as sporting director to replace Russell Slade, who was poached by Championship outfit Cardiff City earlier this month after over four years in charge.
A statement on the East London club's website this evening read: "Having worn the the shirt of great Italian clubs such as Inter, Napoli and Parma, as well as being a graduate of the prestigious Converciano coaching and management centre, Mauro will be an important fixture on the Orient bench providing an effective, hands-on presence for the players."
Milanese was given the job of sporting director not long after fellow Italian Francesco Becchetti took over the club in the summer.
Interim boss Kevin Nugent will stay with the club and be a coach under Milanese, whose side are 18th in League One.
