Russell Slade: Leyton Orient can't "sulk" over Peterborough United defeat

Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade his side won't "sulk" following their late 2-1 defeat to Peterborough United this afternoon.

Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade admits that his side's 2-1 defeat to Peterborough United was a bitter pill to swallow but insists that his players won't "sulk" over it.

The Londoners were on course to leapfrog Brentford at the summit of the League One table courtesy of David Mooney's 70th-minute strike.

However, Britt Assombalonga nodded home an equaliser on 88 minutes before Tommy Rowe snatched all three points for Posh at the death.

Speaking to the club's official website, Slade admits that the loss "hurt" but says that his troops will be prepared to make amends in Tuesday's visit of Stevenage.

He said: "It hurts but we can't sulk. It's part of our journey. We need to put it right Tuesday night."

The encounter with the Boro is scheduled to kick off at 7.45pm.
