Fabio Liverani confident of Leyton Orient survival

Leyton Orient boss Fabio Liverani is confident that his side can stay in League One despite their 3-1 defeat to Bristol City.

Leyton Orient boss Fabio Liverani has insisted that his side can avoid relegation from League One following their 3-1 defeat to Bristol City.

The O's remains one point adrift of safety in the table after last night's loss at home to the league leaders.

However, Liverani has claimed that their display against City has given him encouragement in their fight for survival.

"I am pleased with the performance of my team and after that display, I am even more convinced that we will avoid relegation if we can keep playing like that," he told Sky Sports News.

"I have learned in this league that everyone can take points off everyone and after what I have seen from my team in the last 15 or 20 days, I am much more convinced that we can avoid relegation."

Orient continue their League One campaign on Saturday when they travel to Peterborough United.
