Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos says that Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is not yet on the same level as either Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi.

Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos has suggested that Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah still has a long way to go before the Egyptian can be compared to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Frontman Salah will take on Real defender Ramos on Saturday night when the teams meet in the Champions League final in Kiev, leading the captain of the Spanish capital club to hint that players of Ronaldo and Messi's calibre are currently in a league of their own.

"Comparing players with Ronaldo and Messi is something you can't do," Ramos told reporters ahead of the final at the NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium.

"They're in another orbit. There are players who are in fashion, those who come and go and others who stay around.

"Salah is a top player, that's clear. He's shown that this year and he's got a great chance to show that over the next few years as Ronaldo and Messi have done - but the day after tomorrow."

Real will be bidding to claim a monumental 13th Champions League crown, while Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool are aiming to add a sixth honour to the club's cabinet.
