Attacking midfielder Dele Alli and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will play no part for Tottenham Hotspur when they face Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he will be without Dele Alli and Hugo Lloris for Saturday's meeting with Liverpool.

Alli picked up a hamstring injury on international duty with England, forcing him to return to the Lilywhites' training complex ahead of schedule.

Despite the best efforts of Tottenham's medical staff, the attacking midfielder will sit out this weekend's big Premier League showdown at Wembley Stadium.

Lloris is absent because of a thigh injury that also ruled him out of Spurs' 2-1 loss to Watford before the two-week hiatus, and the club fear that he could miss a chunk of games.

A statement on Tottenham's official website, soon after Pochettino had confirmed Lloris's injury, stated that the French goalkeeper is "expected to be out for several weeks".

Moussa Sissoko is suffering from a hamstring injury, meanwhile, which he will not recover from before Saturday's match, but Juan Foyth is now back in training after recovering from a thigh problem.
