Bayern Munich target Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp as next manager?

A report claims that Bayern Munich have already made Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp their top choice to replace Carlo Ancelotti at the end of the 2017-18 season.

Bayern Munich have reportedly earmarked Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp as their top managerial target to succeed Carlo Ancelotti at the Allianz Arena.

The Italian coach only took charge of Bayern in the summer after agreeing to take over from Manchester City-bound Pep Guardiola.

According to The Express, however, talks are already underway to find the club's next manager as they look for a smooth transition, with Klopp the man the Bundesliga giants will turn to once Ancelotti's tenure comes to an end.

It is claimed that the German is currently happy at Liverpool and has no intention of departing the club, especially after penning a new six-year deal during the summer months.

That situation is said to suit Bayern chiefs, though, as they are not looking to recruit until at least the end of the 2017-18 season and will only make their approach once Ancelotti decides to step down.

A club source is quoted by the English publication as saying: "Jurgen is very highly thought of there. He will top the list of candidates to be the next coach."

Klopp's first full season at Anfield has got off to an impressive start, courtesy of four wins from the Reds' opening six Premier League games.
