Jurgen Klopp hails first-half showing following victory over Hull City

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp praises his side's first-half efforts following the club's dominant 5-1 victory over Hull City in the Premier League.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has heaped praise on the first-half performance of his players following the club's 5-1 demolition of Hull City in the Premier League this afternoon.

The Reds produced a dominant display at Anfield in a game that saw Klopp's men cruise into a 3-0 lead at the break, leaving the German coach to laud his side's showing as they cruised to their third straight win of the season.

"I think we should not worry about whether we should have scored more. It was a brilliant, amazing first half in all aspects," said Klopp, according to BBC Sport.

"It was a world-class performance in counter pressing. We didn't give Hull the opportunity to create confidence. It was wonderful to watch. All in all, really good.

"I was little angry we conceded. It would be nice to have a clean sheet one time in the season. Maybe we will work on this. It was a professional second half from the players. I am not interested in statements now just collecting points."

Liverpool currently hold fourth spot in the league table after six games played.
