Liverpool winger Sadio Mane heaps praise on young teammate Dominic Solanke following the 20-year-old's showing in the club's 3-0 Premier League victory over Stoke City.

Liverpool winger Sadio Mane has backed teammate Dominic Solanke to shine following his recent impressive showing against Stoke City.

The 20-year-old put in a standout display against the Potters as he created an assist for Mane during the 3-0 victory at the bet365 Stadium, leading the Senegalese international to praise the abilities of the former Chelsea frontman.

"I think Dom did really well," Mane told the Liverpool Echo after the game. "He played a great pass through to me for the first goal.

"He's still very young but I've seen him improve during his first few months at the club. It was great for him to get an opportunity and I am happy for him. I tried to help Dom as much as I could. I know he's going to get better and better."

Solanke joined Liverpool from Antonio Conte's side over the summer and made his international bow for Gareth Southgate's England earlier this month.
