Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes that midfielder Jordan Henderson deserves a call-up to the England senior team.
The 23-year-old has been included in Roy Hodgson's squad for upcoming friendlies against Chile and Germany.
"It's a big credit to him that I have been able to play him in a couple of positions because he is that type of player that he can play in those positions really well," Rodgers said in a press conference.
"If you are going to a World Cup you need players who can play in a number of positions. He can do that."
Henderson has secured a regular place in Liverpool's first team this season.
