Brendan Rodgers: 'Daniel Sturridge will only get better'

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes that Daniel Sturridge will only get better as he gets older.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has claimed that Daniel Sturridge will only get better as he matures.

The England international striker, 24, has scored 18 goals in all competitions for the Reds so far this season.

"He will always get goals because of his talent. The beauty about it is he's still only 24 years of age. He's still got a lot of time before he arrives into his peak," Rodgers told the club's official website.

"That's been one of the highlights for me coming in here, seeing his development, both as a young player and then his maturity as a man. He's only going to get better, which is great."

Liverpool's campaign continues on Wednesday night with a trip to Fulham in the Premier League.
