Norwich City's John Ruddy wants Steven Gerrard's Liverpool to win Premier League

Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy says that he would love to see Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard lift the Premier League trophy this season.

Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy has said that he wants Liverpool win the Premier League this season.

Ruddy's relegation-threatened Canaries, who have lost their last three matches, face the league leaders at Carrow Road this afternoon.

Although he admits that he would love to see his England teammate Steven Gerrard pick up a winner's medal, Ruddy insists that that Norwich will be doing the Reds captain and his side no favours in today's clash.

"They've won their last 10 games and that's a real credit to them, and I think everybody wants to see Gerrard win the league," Ruddy told the Daily Mail.

"We're hoping to put a dent in it for them, but afterwards I'll be hoping that Gerrard still does it. I would love to see Steve lift the trophy."

Liverpool have scored five goals in each of their last three games against Norwich.
