Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel has revealed that he hopes to be back in training this week following a knee injury.
The centre-back has been forced to pull out of Slovakia's friendly against Romania on Wednesday with strained ligaments.
"The MRI scan confirmed that I have pulled ligaments in my left knee," Sky Sports News quotes Skrtel as saying.
"It is nothing serious but when I want to put full weight on the knee or I kick the ball, it hurts a lot. I believe that I will resume training in the next few days."
Skrtel has recently been linked with a move to Serie A side Napoli.
