Luis Suarez insists that Liverpool will be "better" next season following their seventh-placed finish in the Premier League.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has insisted that he and his teammates will be "better" next season.

The Reds could only muster a seventh-place finish in the Premier League, despite having top-four ambitions following manager Brendan Rodgers's arrival.

While Suarez's future on Merseyside has been questioned, the Uruguay international has claimed that he has more to offer to Liverpool next season.

"When the manager arrived here it was a little difficult because maybe he didn't know the players or the club," Suarez told the club's official website. "The first season for the manager was good for the confidence of the players.

"Next season we can be better. Of course there's more to come from not only me but all of the players in the dressing room. That's important."

Suarez, who will miss the first six matches of the league campaign due to a 10-match ban for biting, has also been voted by Liverpool fans as the club's player of the season.
