Report: Liverpool dig heels in over transfer policy

Liverpool reportedly intend to keep Brendan Rodgers as manager, but he must accept that their transfer policy won't change.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers will reportedly be sacked by the club if he doesn't accept that they won't change their transfer policy.

Rodgers is due to meet Fenway Sports Group president Mike Gordon this week for an end-of-season review, where he will have to defend the club's disappointing season.

The Mirror claims that the owners intend to keep Rodgers as manager, but that could change if he wants to alter the transfer policy, which is currently decided by a committee.

Liverpool were criticised for their transfer dealings last summer, as many of their new players failed to bed in.

Rodgers has been in charge of Liverpool since 2012.
