Team News: Divock Origi leads Liverpool attack again

In the continued absence of Daniel Sturridge, Jurgen Klopp turns to Divock Origi to lead Liverpool's attack against Southampton.

For the second Premier League game in succession, new Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has selected Divock Origi to spearhead Liverpool's attack.

Daniel Sturridge has been unable to shake off an injury in time to face Southampton at Anfield, so the young Belgian has been given the nod, with Christian Benteke among the substitutes.

Elsewhere, Emre Can, James Milner and Lucas will form the three-man midfield, with ex-Saints attacker Adam Lallana also included in the team.

Meanwhile, visiting Southampton have been able to hand a first Premier League start to summer signing Jordy Clasie following his return to fitness.

Liverpool: Mignolet; Clyne, Skrtel, Sakho, Moreno; Lucas, Can, Milner; Coutinho, Lallana; Origi
Subs: Bogdan, Toure, Benteke, Firmino, Allen, Ibe, Randall

Southampton: Stekelenburg, Cedric, Fonte, van Dijk, Bertrand; Wanyama, Clasie, S Davis; Mane, Tadic, Pelle
Subs: K Davis, Yoshida, Romeu, Ward-Prowse, Ramírez, Juanmi, Caulker
