Barcelona 'want to include Alexis Sanchez in Luis Suarez deal with Liverpool'

Barcelona reportedly want to offload Alexis Sanchez to Liverpool as part of a deal to sign Luis Suarez, but both clubs are struggling to agree a price.

Barcelona are reportedly keen to offload Alexis Sanchez to Liverpool as part of a deal to sign striker Luis Suarez.

The Premier League club's chief executive Ian Ayre is said to be meeting a Barcelona delegation in London today to open talks about a possible transfer involving Suarez.

According to The Mirror, Liverpool are prepared to hold out for a fee in the region of £80m for Suarez, who scored 31 league goals last season, but Barcelona will argue that the striker is worth £60m and want to include Sanchez in the deal.

The price tag could prove to be a stumbling block between the two clubs as Barcelona reportedly feel that the 27-year-old's four-month ban for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup lessens the forward's value.

While the Spanish club are willing to part with Sanchez in order to land the Uruguayan's signature, reports have claimed that the Chile international does not want to leave Camp Nou, and would prefer a move to Arsenal should he be forced out of the door.

If Sanchez opts to refuse a move to Liverpool, the Merseyside outfit will reportedly ask for £80m cash from Barcelona, who are currently unwilling to meet that figure.
