Brondby 'join race for Liverpool's Daniel Agger'

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger is linked with a move back to former club Brondby.

Brondby are the latest club to be linked a move for Liverpool defender Daniel Agger.

The arrival of Dejan Lovren from Southampton has cast doubt on the centre-back's Anfield future, and his former club are hoping to lure him back to his homeland, according to the Daily Mail.

However, the Danish outfit are thought to face stiff competition for his services from La Liga giants Barcelona, who are long-term admirers of the player.

Agger, who joined Liverpool from Brondby in 2006, is valued at around £12m.
