Steven Gerrard jets out to USA to complete Los Angeles Galaxy move?

Steven Gerrard flies out to the United States to complete a £4m 18-month summer switch to Los Angeles Galaxy, according to a report.

Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard has reportedly flown to the United States in order to complete his move to Major League Soccer.

The 34-year-old announced last week that he will be concluding his 25-year association with the Reds at the end of the season when he moves on to pastures new.

A report in The Mirror claims that the former England international, who scored twice against AFC Wimbledon on Monday night to help the Anfield outfit book their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup, will tie up an 18-month switch to Los Angeles Galaxy in the coming days.

It is thought that Gerrard will be offered a sum of around £4m to play for the current MLS Cup holders, while a loan arrangement which would see the midfielder return to his current club next winter could also be part of any agreement.

Gerrard yesterday claimed that he would have stayed at Liverpool had he been offered a new contract last summer.
