Liverpool striker Iago Aspas is being lined up for a return to Spain with former club Celta Vigo, according to reports.
The 27-year-old joined the Reds from Celta in 2013 for a fee of £7.6m but has struggled to make an impact at Anfield, scoring just one goal in 15 appearances last season.
Celta president Carlos Mourino has signalled his intention to bring Aspas back to the Balaídos, though he has admitted that the club's finances could make a deal tricky.
"We would like to bring back Iago and [former Celta striker] Joselu but we know our limitations. It's impossible for us to compete with other clubs," Mourino told reporters.
Aspas, who scored 50 goals in 152 games for Celta, is on loan with fellow La Liga side Sevilla this season, where he has netted two goals in 12 appearances.
