New Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman has reportedly earmarked Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum as a potential signing during this summer's transfer window.
Wijnaldum's existing deal at Anfield is due to expire next June, and it is understood that talks over a possible extension with the Premier League champions are yet to take place.
According to AD, Koeman - recently confirmed as Quique Setien's successor at Camp Nou - has urged the 29-year-old not to pen a new deal with Jurgen Klopp's side ahead of a potential move to Camp Nou.
The report claims that Barca could attempt to sign the midfielder this summer or wait until January 2021, when they would be able to open talks over a pre-contract, providing that the Dutchman does not agree a new deal.
Wijnaldum - a key player for the Netherlands under Koeman - scored six times in 47 appearances for Liverpool during the 2019-20 campaign.
The former Feyenoord youngster arrived at Anfield from Newcastle United in July 2016.
