Liverpool reportedly turn their attention to Real Betis' Guido Rodriguez in their search for midfield reinforcements.

Real Betis midfielder Guido Rodriguez has attracted the attention of Liverpool, according to a report.

The Reds have lost both Georginio Wijnaldum and Marko Grujic to Paris Saint-Germain and Porto respectively this summer and are yet to bolster their midfield ranks.

The likes of Youri Tielemans, Yves Bissouma and Renato Sanches have all been linked with a move to Anfield, but Liverpool could be priced out of moves for the former two, while Barcelona is thought to be Sanches's preferred destination.

According to La Razon, Real Betis lynchpin Rodriguez - a regular for Argentina during their Copa America triumph - is now on Liverpool's midfield wishlist.

The report adds that the 27-year-old possesses a £68m release clause in his existing contract - which expires in 2024 - but Betis are prepared to sanction a sale for as little as £25m given their need to raise funds.

Rodriguez started 34 La Liga games under Manuel Pellegrini for Betis last term and has been capped 10 times by the Argentina national team.
