Borussia Dortmund winger Donyell Malen has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Liverpool.
The Merseyside giants enjoyed a productive summer in the market, strengthening their squad with the addition of four players.
Since then, Jurgen Klopp's side have made an excellent start to the season, building on a draw at Chelsea on the opening weekend to win their following five matches in the Premier League.
However, Liverpool have been left with fewer attacking options than in 2022-23, a consequence of a direct replacement having not been found for Roberto Firmino.
While Dominik Szoboszlai is capable of playing on the flank, the Hungary international can also be used as the most attack-minded player in central midfield.

Teenager winger Ben Doak is a welcome addition to the senior ranks and is expected to be more involved in the squad as the season progresses after appearances in the Europa League and EFL Cup.
Nevertheless, Liverpool may still remain in the market for another fresh face in the final third, particularly a versatile attacker who can play in more than one position.
According to BILD, Klopp holds an interest in signing Netherlands Malen in one of the upcoming transfer windows.
The 24-year-old has been at Westfalenstadion since 2021, contributing 23 goals and 16 assists from his 80 appearances in all competitions.

Three strikes have come from his five outings in this season's Bundesliga, and the former Arsenal youngster has a contract until the end of 2025-26.
That said, it is claimed that Dortmund could be willing to do business for a fee in the region of £52m, a valuation that may interest Liverpool.
With the expectation that Mohamed Salah will leave Anfield in 2024, Klopp would need to sign a replacement with the money generated from any sale.
Liverpool already have a number of Dutch players on their books with Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch and Cody Gakpo having all played with Malen - a 22-cap international - for their country.
