Liverpool monitoring Martin Hinteregger?

Liverpool are monitoring Red Bull Salzburg centre-back Martin Hinteregger, according to a report.

Liverpool are interested in signing Martin Hinteregger from Red Bull Salzburg, according to a report.

The Guardian claims that the Premier League outfit sent scouts to Klagenfurt on Wednesday to watch the 21-year-old central defender feature for his country Austria against Uruguay in a friendly international.

The Reds have received positive reviews of Hinteregger's performance against the South Americans, with his physicality and composure on the ball reportedly impressing those watching him.

Arsenal are also said to be interested in Hinteregger, whose current contract at Red Bull runs out in June 2018.
